Weekend of destruction!

2 days, 3 car shows, massive heat wave…. I’m destroyed right now. Lets just get it out there first that my camera self destructed again and I’m just gonna put what I have of Nisei and Infamous probably on our facebook page through the week. It was so damn hot Saturday in downtown LA for the Nisei Import Showoff show I wanted to kill myself. I really did. The overwhelming part of the show was The Chronicles Generations line up. Joey put together such a solid showing of the BEST Honda rides I have ever seen in Person. I’m just just gonna go and say it. Some of these cars are the best tuned Honda’s in the world. Fuck you if you don’t agree. It was dope finally seeing some of the ATS guys cars from Norcal. They are killing it. After seeing so pics of their rides on the net it was awesome to finally see some of them in person. Amazing builds. Some really nice Old School J-tin showed up also with a smattering of everything else. I literally looked around about an hour and went to go eat. Barely anyone was around. Everyone was seeking shelter from the 108 degree heat. Saw some old faces and met some new ones. Karen and I hooked up with old friends RJ Devera and Jon Sibal. We had a plan to meet at Nisei than get shit done there than score lunch and than jet to our other buddies show (Mark Arcenal) Infamous.

After shaking hands and talking shit at Nisei Rj directed us towards a restaurant called the Lazy Ox Canteen. I first looked at the menu and was totally lost. 5 guy burger for me is totally gourmet in my book. LOL! This place was the absolute bomb food. Best French Fries I have ever had in my life hands down. While waiting for food and changing shirts in the washroom because I had totally sweated out the first shirt I had on. I was stoked to throw on the Nisei Showoff shirt that was done in collab with Bowls LA owned by my friend Brandon.

Peep how rad this shirt is. I bought 2. LOL! I stole this pic from my buddy Amy’s Facebook. Sorry Amy. Missed you at Nisei ! Busy judging I think.

One car show pic from Nisei. LOL! Also must add that it was nice catching up with Andy Hope and his Honda Challenge CRX. That thing is straight BEAST. Catch it on the cover of Honda Tuning’s race issue this month.

Wrapped Evo X. Pretty nice.

Back to the restaurant. I was busy texting with my buddy Bill who runs the jdmphasis blog who was in town but we just didn’t get our times right. Next time Bill ! and Happy Birthday sir. I hope you enjoyed LA. After cracking many jokes on RJ’s white pants and Andy looking exactly like James Stewart and Dave Chapelle all rolled into one we ate and blasted off to Infamous. Although Karen and I got sidetracked and peeped out the Illest store and said hi to everyone there. BOOM! we were off to the LBC !

The breeze at the Infamous show in Long Beach was much more pleasing than the hot blazing black asphalt at nisei. A quick call to Mark and we were in. I can’t thank Mark enough for the hospitality of letting us in. We were greeted by all the homies at Auto Fashion who laced us up with much need waters. Big thank you to Freddie and his crew for letting us crash under their tent at Infamous and Motor Union the next day. I love you guys.

Its one thing to see RWB Porsches all over the net for the last few years but to see them in person…. It’s kinda’ mind-blowing LOL! Mark brought both his gems out. I rubbed my sweating hands all over the black one that was just freshly painted. It’s so much better black than the original green. That thing just sucks the light out of atmosphere around it. I loved it.

I also must emphasize that RJ and I were walking around the show and with every step and every comment of a parked car…We just felt really fucking old. LOL! It’s great to see the young generation do their thing even if I don’t like some of it . I will say some of the cars were quite epic. I also have to ad that I met Sean Klingelhoefer who works for Speedhunters. Really nice dude to chat with and we exchanged stickers. Doesn’t get better than a sticker trade. Nice talking with you Sean ! Also saw my old friend Logan of Work Wheels USA and chatted for awhile. I love that guy. Such a good dude. Chatted with Krist and the guys at Trendy Threadz and stole some stickers I just designed for them. They were than immediately given out to friends.

Back to Murrieta. Rolled in at about 8pm and made a game plan for Motor Union the next day. Freddie from Auto Fashion laughed at me when I told him I would see him there. LOL!

Motor Union Coverage tomorrow. I had a complete blast at this show today. More on that tomorrow.

One pic.

This picture is pretty epic. The 3 dudes in this pic I cherish as family. They have all given me work at one time or another or just plain set me straight when I was fucking up and struggling. I love them all. Cars are great and all but the friends you make through car stuff is really what all this is about. Thanks guys !

Anyone crying yet ? Jeez. I’m fucking lame. Motor Union coverage tomorrow!
